Burner (profession)

Brenner / in is a state-recognized training occupation . The burner processes agricultural raw materials such as potatoes and grain into agricultural alcohol . The training lasts three years and, after completion, enables advanced training to become a master distiller, agricultural manager, agricultural technician to become an agricultural business economist as well as a specialist agronomist.

The subject of the training is, among other things, knowledge of the product-related legal provisions, processing and digestion of raw materials as well as mashing and yeast management according to various methods. The final examination comprises the examination subjects technology, technical mathematics as well as economics and social studies.

Apprenticeship in Austria

In Austria there is the equivalent apprenticeship of the distiller. The training period is 3 years and is practiced in the form of dual training.
