from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The St. Mary's Scots Monastery in Kiev was founded at an unknown point in time, probably in the 12th century, and was settled with Irish monks from the St. Jacob's Scots Monastery in Regensburg or the St. Mary's Scots Monastery in Vienna . In the sources, the monastery is only recorded for the 13th century, between 1228 and 1232 it was inhabited by Dominicans. It was in today's suburb of Kiev, structural remains have not been preserved.
