Schreinemakers TV was a short-lived infotainment program hosted by Margarethe Schreinemakers on the German private television broadcaster RTL in 1997 . The format was adopted almost 1: 1 from the previous broadcast on the competing channel Sat. 1 , which was broadcast there from 1992 to 1996 - also moderated by Margarethe Schreinemakers - under the title Schreinemakers Live . The program was broadcast weekly. The transmission time was several hours. Compared to the original broadcast on Sat. 1, the number of viewers fell sharply, which is why the broadcast was discontinued in 1997, the year it was first broadcast.
Content
Like Schreinemakers Live before, Schreinemakers TV dealt with various topics. Most of the time, those affected were invited to the show and interviewed by Schreinemakers.
The presenter was repeatedly accused in the media of guiding the show with exaggerated emotionality. The journalism professor Siegfried Weischenberg summarized this criticism with the term “shrine makerization”, which he defined as follows: “Shrine makerization does not convey facts, but the feeling that people are kept up to date about this world by a credible mistress of the tides .
