Drawer regulation

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The drawer ordinance is an ordinance drawn up by the Papen cabinet under the impression of the strike at the Berliner Verkehrsgesellschaft in 1932 , but it was never passed. It contained, among other things, provisions on measures to “protect vital businesses”, “restrict freedom of the press ” and “introduce protective custody ”.

After the seizure of power by the Nazi Reich minister called Hermann Goering in a ministerial meeting of 1 February 1933 that the defense of "terrorist acts" on the part of the KPD the drawer regulation was put into effect. He was of the opinion that the existing laws were not sufficient for this.
