Linear chain

The following is referred to as a push chain :

• Shear chain (linguistics) , a theory of sound shifting as a chain shift, the opposite of the shear chain is the pull chain.
• Push chain (mechanics) , a mechanical component of conveyor technology that can be rolled up when de-energized, but can transfer push and pressure forces when under tension. Is used, for example, in stage technology.
