Kristian Berg Harpviken

Kristian Berg Harpviken (born December 27, 1961 in Lillehammer ) is a Norwegian sociologist who became known for his expertise and assessment of Afghanistan .

He has been the director of the Norwegian Institute for Peace Research (Institutt for fredsforskning, English: Peace Research Institute Oslo ) since 2009 . Currently (as of 2018) he is the chairman of the Nordic Sociological Association .
