School desk

The school desk is a bench that was used in schools until the 1960s .

Chairs or bench are immovably connected to the table. The table top can usually be folded up to store exercise books and books underneath. Usually a holder for an inkwell was also built into the table.

In the second half of the 20th century, school desks in Germany were replaced by separate tables and chairs . Nowadays the classic school desks can still be found in museums or in school hallways.
