School master plan

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

School master plan is part of the overall planning ( urban development plan ) at the municipal level and primarily includes the expected number of pupils for the coming school years. A distinction is made between school system and school class in order to determine the probable need. The survey of the number of births plays a major role, as it is the number of school beginners.

The school management plan makes statements about the needs

  • Classrooms,
  • Facility,
  • Investments.

and is therefore an important planning aid for cities and municipalities or districts, not least from an economic point of view. It is subdivided into school development planning and relates individually to the individual schools. It specifies the requirements set out in the school development plans and is intended to help the school authorities to combine aspects of social policy, cultural planning, site security, educational policy and youth policy in a future-proof manner.

In order to be meaningful, the planning must remain current and include the inventory. Otherwise there is a risk that a pure administration of numbers will arise that ignores the actual needs. As a rule, the development plans are revised every 5 years, but it is advisable to check parts of them (e.g. computer inventory) periodically at shorter intervals.

Further planning is linked to changes in the number of pupils: for example, local transport connections will be adapted to the commuter movements of pupils.
