Schulz-Zimm distribution

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Schulz-Zimm distribution (after Günter Victor Schulz and Bruno Zimm ) is a generalization of the Schulz-Flory distribution . The shape of the distribution can be described by a similar curve, but the polydispersity no longer necessarily approaches two, but can deviate from it. The Schulz-Zimm distribution has the form:

where x is a parameter that describes the chain length, and a> 0, b> 0 are fit parameters . is the gamma function .
