Tail ducat

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A tail ducat or braid ducat is a ducat minted under Friedrich Wilhelm I (Prussia) on which the portrait of the king was provided with a braid and which was therefore called that by the people.

Later this designation was also used on other coins minted by him, such as thaler , tympfe and groschen .
