Black bet

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Black bet is the slang term for a bet that is illegally organized or brokered without permission .

background

Bets always require a permit if they are carried out as "public games of chance". A bet is only a "game of chance" if the participation can only be made for a fee and the betting event depends on chance. "Public" is a bet if the opportunity to participate is open to a larger, non-closed group of people. The legislature also accepts the public if the betting event is habitually held in clubs or other closed societies.

Public games of chance may only be organized or brokered with official permission. The legislature restricts the events that may be the subject of public betting to sports betting and horse betting. Other bets (e.g. on the outcome of elections, bets on the results of the next lottery drawing, zero-balance bets or event bets) are not permitted. But sports betting can only be permitted for the outcome or for sections of a sporting event, but not for other events during the course of the game (e.g. next yellow card, corner, next foul, etc.). For the designation of an illegal bet as a "black bet" it does not matter whether the respective betting offers can be allowed according to the legal requirements, but the organizer or broker does not have a permit (e.g. internet sports betting offers from foreign providers) , or whether the betting offers are not permitted at all.

Betting offers that are not or are not permitted according to these legal regulations are referred to as "black bets".

The word component " black " is used in the figurative sense with the meaning "illegal, without permission", e.g. B. Black money , undeclared work , black funds, fare dodging etc.
