Schwarzkappler
As Black Kappler is in Austria , especially in Vienna one, Fahrscheinkontrollor in public transport referred. The name is derived from the black service caps that Wiener Linien's control gates used to wear.
Today these inspectors (or inspectors) are only out and about in civilian clothes. However, the name is still used. There are so-called “Schwarzkapplerinfos” on various websites and radio stations that indicate which lines are currently being checked. The information either comes from Wiener Linien or is based on reports from passengers.
