Schwarzmühle is a remote farm on the eastern edge of the community of Hohenburg. The mill on the Black Mountain is first mentioned from the times of Charlemagne . Later, glass from the Bavarian forest for mirrors was cut and processed here. The building of the mirror glass grinding shop has already fallen into disrepair and was dismantled. Instead of the former flour mill, a hydroelectric power station was built in 1956 to generate electricity. The Herz-Jesu chapel at the court was donated by Therese Schutzbier in 1922 for the recovery of her mother after a serious illness. Before the community reform in 1972, Schwarzmühle was part of the Adertshausen community .

Since 2020, a large-scale expansion of the cycle path in the community to the Schwarzmühle has been driven forward.
