Blueberry soup

The Swedish blueberry soup ( Swedish Blåbärssoppa ) is a popular fruit soup from Sweden, which is served warm or cold as a dessert . In addition to the named ingredient blueberries, this dish contains water, sugar and often cinnamon. Occasionally other ingredients such as red wine or potato starch are added, which have an influence on the consistency and taste. For the preparation, the ingredients are put together in a saucepan and heated. Finally, the blueberries are partially or completely chopped up.

In Sweden, blueberry soup is also available as a ready-made meal. It is eaten with Filmjölk (a kind of thick milk ) and muesli, or drunk straight or spooned.
