The Schweizer Holzzeitung (subtitle: The independent specialist medium for the wood value chain ) was a specialist journal that appeared with 21 issues per year. Most recently (2015) the WEMF -certified edition was 1,116 (previous year 1,110) sold or 7,086 (previous year 7,068) copies distributed.

The newspaper dealt with current topics as well as industry and economy, wood market data and facts, technology and practice, operation and management, market and company notes.

The sister magazine Journal Suisse du Bois was published in French by the same publisher eight times a year (editor: Bruno Holenstein, 2015 edition, 118 copies sold or 1,741 distributed).

Both newspapers were discontinued at the end of 2015.
