Swiss Free Bowling Association

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Swiss Free Bowling Association (SFKV) was founded on April 20, 1952 in Olten, SO.

It consists of a central association with 19 sub-associations and a cantonal association, which organize the administrative and sporting club operations in the sense of the SFKV statutes with far-reaching autonomy. The sub-associations hold an annual championship every year, which consists of four to ten individual bowling championships . Various other events (e.g. individual cup, club cup, external championships) are also organized depending on the sub-association. Upgrading or downgrading to categories A, B and C takes place autonomously in the sub-associations. The Swiss Free Bowling Association is responsible for staging bowling events of national importance. The following events are held annually: Swiss Championship, Swiss Individual Cup, Swiss Club Cup, sub-association team competition and the Swiss Senior and Veterans Championship. The idea of the association is to promote and spread bowling in Switzerland, to maintain camaraderie and sociability in the context of social activities.
