Swiss Society for Symbol Research

The Swiss Society for Symbol Research is a Swiss association for the interdisciplinary development of symbol fields and services related to the use of symbols.

The society was founded in 1983 by Adam Zweig and has been an associated member of the Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences since 1994 . She publishes the book series Writings on Symbol Research . Every year it organizes a colloquium on a special topic of symbol research.

The current president of the society is the literary scholar Paul Michel .
