Swiss Association for Aviation Sciences

The Swiss Association for Aviation Sciences (short: SVfW , French Association suisse des sciences aéronautiques , English Swiss Association of Aeronautical Sciences ) is an association based in Zurich . The objectives are to promote aviation science in Switzerland , to present topics in this field and to maintain contacts among experts. To this end, he organizes lectures on topics from the field of flight sciences and supports students. The lectures will be held on the premises of the ETH Zurich or at the relevant industry. Institutions at home and abroad are visited twice a year.

The association was founded in 1957 at the ICAS Congress in Zurich. The association has around 250 members and is the representative of ICAS in Switzerland.

The SVfW is also a member of the CEAS .
