The Swiss Association for Anabaptist History ( French Société Suisse d'Histoire Mennonite ) is a history association that has set itself the task of promoting Anabaptist - Mennonite history in Switzerland . For this purpose, the association maintains a documentation center on the Bienenberg , which collects and preserves manuscripts, letters, books, magazines and other finds and makes them available to journalists, historians or theologians who are interested. The magazine Mennonitica Helvetica is published once a year . The Swiss Association for Anabaptist History was founded in 1973 and works with the Mennonite Conference of Switzerland , among others . The association was also involved in the activities of the 2007 Anabaptist Year.

The Memoria Mennonitica Association was founded in 2005 in cooperation with the Conference of Mennonites in Switzerland and the Bienenberg Training and Conference Center . The aim is to protect Anabaptist-Mennonite cultural assets and to be able to implement effective cultural property protection . For the Mennonites in Switzerland, threatened with murder and displacement, it was life-threatening for generations to collect documents concerning their faith. For this reason, such finds are of great value today. In addition, the cooperation of all groups interested in the Anabaptist-Mennonite cultural property should be promoted and coordinated.
