Swiss association of building technology engineers

The Swiss Association of Building Technology Engineers (SWKI, abbreviation from the former name of the Swiss Association of Heat and Air Conditioning Engineers ) is an independent association within the meaning of Art 60 ff. ZGB based in Schönbühl and is a professional association of the Swiss Association of Engineers and Architects (SIA) in the technical professional group.

history

The SWKI has existed since 1962 and emerged from the Switzerland section of ASHRAE ( American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers Inc. Atlanta). The association is affiliated with ASHRAE and affiliated with REHVA, the European umbrella organization of the national professional associations. The SWKI professional association of the SIA has been part of the technology professional group since December 2008.

SWKI guidelines

In working groups, the association develops the SWKI guidelines , which represent the state of the art in the field of technical building equipment in Switzerland. These are usually available in German and French.
