The heavy Halbzeugwerk GmbH & Co. KG , based in Stolberg (Rhineland) i st claims to be the largest Vorwalzbandproduzentin the world with over 300,000 tonnes / year and supplier of pure copper slabs. It was founded in 1972 by the Prym works and the copper and brass works Langenburg with 50% each and has been the 50% subsidiary of Aurubis AG and Wieland-Werke since 2002 .
