Floating construction
Floating structures are mainly stationary structures built on floating platforms of various sizes and functions. At ebb and flow these platforms move up and down with the water level. It is also conceivable that the structures are erected on inland waterways or only float up in exceptional cases, for example in the event of a flood . They are not houseboats converted for permanent living .
The size of these structures can range from a few square meters for a floating house (also called amphibious buildings), floating greenhouses or other larger commercial buildings to entire floating city quarters.
