Sworn cross

Sworn Cross of the Rector of the University of Tübingen . The copies of the university statutes, which were renewed in 1537, with the Rector's oath of service are part of a parchment collection volume, the "statutes book" of the university.

A Schwörkreuz or oath cross is either a crucifix was placed in a meeting room or a cross in a Statutes book to which at oaths the thumb.
