Schwyzer-Lander

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Schwyzer-Länders is a Länders with a simple melody in typical three-four time . The year of origin and the composer are no longer known - it can be assumed that this melody was improvised. When farmers drive their cows into the Alps, they use their typical driving and lure calls (“Hosässässässää” and the like, reflected in the triplet of the prelude). There are many arrangements of the song that have been published by music publishers. The input bars are usually presented as or similar to the following example:

 {\ key f \ major \ time 3/4 \ partial 4 \ times 2/3 {c'8 c'8 c'8} c'2 (a'4) f'4 bes'4 a'4 c'2 (a'4) f'4 bes'4 a'4 g'2 c'4 bes'4 (a'4 g'4) f'4 (e'4 d'4) c'2 r4}

song lyrics

What kind of canary birds are they,
where so gäli beaks?
What kind of canary birds are they,
