Science Advances is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the American Association for the Advancement of Science .

It is a supplement to the journal Science , which has been published since 1880 , and, in contrast to this, publishes under Open Access . The first edition was in 2015, the impact factor in 2018 was 11.5 according to the company's own information. Chief Editor is Jeremy Berg , Managing Editor Philippa Benson.
