Score Perfect ("SPP") is a music notation program for Windows . The program author is Klaus Kleinbrahm (* May 9, 1959 † July 7, 2012). Score Perfect is further developed and sold by Scoretec . It exists in the versions Professional , Professional Lite , Standard and Education . After the death of the programmer Klaus Kleinbrahm in 2012, no new versions were released.

In Score Perfect , notation elements can be set or changed without first selecting a tool with the mouse. Most common tasks of classical music notation are supported. For some functions in Score Perfect it is not possible to enter values manually.

Score Perfect is available in Danish, German, English, French, Dutch, Swedish and Spanish.

history

The development of Score Perfect began in 1989. There have been various approaches to IT-supported music notation since 1985 (see Finale and Score ). However, notation programs were quite technical in the beginning. The music teacher Klaus Kleinbrahm created a software concept with the aim of enabling a more intuitive way of working.

In 1990 Score Audio Mode ( SAM ) was created, which enables lifelike playback of the score by observing set characters such as fortissimo , arpeggio or trills when playing.

In 1992 the conception of multiple areas followed, which enables the simultaneous processing of several groups of tones.

In the mid-1990s Score Perfect was temporarily further developed and marketed by Columbus Soft , before sales and development were taken over by Scoretec in 2001.

Klaus Kleinbrahm died on July 7, 2012.

Areas of application and distribution

Due to its conception and the functional limitation, Score Perfect is mainly used in the semi-professional area. The program is used by musicians, music teachers, choirmasters, arrangers , composers and students. The software is mainly used in Germany.
