Andreas Timm

Andreas Timm (born September 28, 1974 in Hamburg ) is a German athlete.

Act

He was the longest-serving player in the German national soccer team for people with intellectual disabilities and was their team captain for a long time. Before the 2006 World Cup , he looked back on 70 international matches and played in all previous World Cups for people with intellectual disabilities. As part of the German championship, Andreas Timm was honored for his services in the national team by sports director Frank-Thomas Hartleb and national coach Jörg Dittwar .

Life

Andreas Timm has lived in Essen since 1994 and is a resident of the "Heimstatt Engelbert Essen", a non-profit organization for people with intellectual disabilities. Initially, Timm played soccer in the Essen Leisure League at SG Stoppenberg 89. Via FC Essen 85 and TBV Frillendorf his way into the district league led to SuS Niederbonsfeld, before he played another two years in the regional league with the amateurs of Rot-Weiss Essen . He then played briefly for Eintracht Leithe and then moved to ESV Frillendorf, for which he played in the district league A and B. At the beginning of the 2008/09 season, Timm played for SV Kray-Leithe 19/65, which had been promoted to the district league A, and which he left after relegation after only one year. Then he moved back to ESV Frillendorf, with the club he rose to the district league C and after a year again. Andreas Timm has been playing for the Rot Weiss Essen inclusion team since 2014.

Since Andreas Timm has lived in Heimstatt Engelbert Essen, he has also played in the dormitory team or for Blau-Weiß Frillendorf, the S04 fan club within Heimstatt Engelbert eV and for the FN-Spiders, the FUBA-NETzwerk Allstar team.
