particularities | now an island in Lake Pedder |
The Scotts Peak is a mountain in the southwest of the Australian state of Tasmania . It is located in Southwest National Park north of the Frankland Range .
Before the Gordon River System was built, it stood on the shores of the original Lake Pedder , a small glacial lake. After the current reservoir was flooded, it is now an island in the lake. One of the dams of the reservoir, the Scotts Peak Dam, is named after him, as is the dirt road leading to it.
