The Sde Teiman Airfield (Hebrew שדה תימן) is an airfield in the south of Israel . It is the civil airfield of the city of Beersheba and is located 10 km northwest of it.
The airfield was built for military purposes by the British Mandate Government in the 1940s .
Today the airfield is mainly used for general aviation . In the past, scheduled flights to Eilat and Tel Aviv were offered at times , but these had to be discontinued due to insufficient profitability.
