Painting from the tomb of Horemchaef; it probably comes from Sedjemnetjeru

Sedjemnetjeru is an ancient Egyptian artist known by name. He appears in the grave of the local prince Sobeknacht II of Elkab (around 1600 BC) and in the grave of the chief priest Horemchauef in Hierakonpolis and was obviously responsible for the picturesque decoration of both graves. He was titled Great of the Ten of Upper Egypt and Draftsman . Sedjemnetjeru lived in the Second Intermediate Period . Sedjemnetjeru is also mentioned in the grave of Hormin in Elkab, which he probably painted.
