Seediek

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Seediek was a medieval parish in what is now the municipality of Sande (Friesland) . The parish of Seediek was given up after the Antoni flood in 1511. The church itself stood until 1531 and only then disappeared.

The old cemetery ("Ollhoff", "Altenhof") of Seediek can still be located on the former Kirchwurt (on the district road from Mariensiel to Sande).

During the construction of the district road from Mariensiel to Sande, human bones were found in the ground.
