The soul chapel was the crypt chapel of the nuns of the Maria Rosengarten monastery in Bad Wurzach .

description

The cellar chapel was built in 1774 by pastor Johann Nepomuk von Kolb . He is buried in the crypt there. The simple, beaver tail-roofed chapel stands between the classicist parish church of St. Verena and the Maria Rosengarten convent. Inside the chapel there is a cross with a corpus, to the right and left of which there are the names of the deceased sisters on panels. A barred opening in the floor of the chapel made it possible for the nuns to give holy water to their deceased sisters without having to go down into the crypt.

There are several epitaphs on the outer wall of the chapel .
