Seaman's Church of St. Clemens at the harbor

The Seemannskirche St. Clemens is located in the Seemannsmission at the harbor in Hamburg-Altona-Altstadt . It is named after the martyr Clement of Rome , who is considered a role model for seafarers.

The seaman's church is run by the Association of German Seamen's Mission Hamburg-Altona eV , which is linked to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany . It is open every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and wants to offer people of all denominations a space for prayer.

In 2008 the church interior was rebuilt and redesigned by the qualified designer Andreas Kasparek.
