Sefter

Sefter was a German volume measure and corresponded to the quadruplets of other regions and was valid in Marburg .

The dimensional chain was

  • 1 Malter = 4 Mötten = 16 Mesten = 64 Sefter / Vierling = 256 Mäßchen
  • 1 Meste = 4 quads
  • 1 Mötte = 5232 Parisian cubic inches = 103.784 liters
