Be there! was a youth magazine on television in the GDR .

The topics of the program revolved around typical questions and problems of young television viewers. These should be there! actively helping to shape what was already made clear by the title of the magazine. A recurring element of the series was the consultation hour "In private" . This column was edited by the daily newspaper Junge Welt and presented by its colleague Irma Weinreich.
Be there! was broadcast once a month on Saturdays in the evening before, the repetition took place on Wednesdays. The last episode aired on December 19, 1970.
The magazine be there! was one of numerous new youth programs on GDR television at the beginning of the 1970s, which experimented with different content and concepts. Many of these programs, including this one, were discontinued after a short time. The main reason for the failure of most of the concepts is believed to be the lack of audience response.
