Astrid Bless

Astrid Bless (born June 4, 1944 in Mittweida ; † December 30, 2009 in Berlin ) was a German voice actress , cabaret artist and actress .

Life

Astrid Bless studied at the Theater Academy in Leipzig and was for many years protagonist at the Leipzig Schauspielhaus , where she held various roles, such as the "Ophelia" in Hamlet , the "Viola" in Twelfth Night , or the "cobbler woman" in the eponymous play by Federico García Lorca . She also made guest appearances at the stands in Berlin and the Stuttgart Renitenztheater . For six years she was a member of the Academixer in Leipzig .

One of her best-known speaking roles was that of the head witch Walpurgia in the radio play series Bibi Blocksberg , which she took over for the late Maria Axt . As a voice actress she lent her voice to Sophia Loren , Candice Bergen , Holland Taylor and Claudia Cardinale, among others .

Astrid Bless made guest appearances as a cabaret artist with Dorit Gäbler in Leipzig and Halle, among others, and was a celebrated performer in many cities in Germany with her Claire Waldoff program.

She also worked as an actress and often designed roles in television plays. For example, the part of “Thea Kaskel” in the entertainment series Klein, but Charlotte from 1990 is one of her most famous appearances. In 1970 she was one of the moderators of the youth magazine Be there! She was also seen several times in the film series Polizeiruf 110 (among others with List and Tücke 1986, Die last Kundin 1987, Thanner's new job 1991), in The Public Prosecutor Has the Word or in the circus series Aerolina . Until her death she dubbed Holland Taylor in the role of Evelyn Harper in Two and a Half Men and Roma Maffia as Dr. Liz Cruz in Nip / Tuck - Beauty has its price . The synchronization of Holland Taylor was done by Kerstin Sanders-Dornseif and Helga Sasse continued the synchronization of Roma Maffia.
