Mürren – Allmendhubel cable car
The Mürren – Allmendhubel (SMA) cable car , also called Allmendhubelbahn , is a funicular in the Bernese Oberland ( Switzerland ). It belongs to the Schilthornbahn AG (LSMS) .
The Allmendhubelbahn was put into operation in 1912, initially only in winter. It leads from Mürren ( 1650 m above sea level ) with a maximum gradient of 61% up to the Allmendhubel at 1907 m. The old red cars were replaced by new panorama cars in 1999.
