Page load time

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As Page Generation Time (German: page loading time ) refers to the time that a script needs to generate an output page. This designation became very well known, especially in PHP scripts such as forums or blogs , which show at the foot of each HTML page how long the script needed on the server until all data was processed and the finished website could be delivered to the user.

The more complex a script is, the longer it takes until, for example, database queries or other dynamic values for the script are determined and, if necessary, calculated. Thus, the page generation time increases proportionally to the complexity and data volume of the script itself.
