The Sekin , also known as Sekin-Panjang, is a knife from Indonesia .

description

The Sekin has a single-edged blade that is slightly curved downwards. It has one or more narrow central ridges that run directly above the cutting edge. Close to the blade, an À jour ornament protrudes over the blade . The handle is made of wood and decorated with traditional carvings depicting a stylized bird on the pommel. Shortly in front of the hilt there is a small, filigree parry made from the blade. The scabbards are also made of wood, decorated with carvings and polished. The end of the vagina is straight or curved. There is a second version, which is described in a separate article. The Sekin is used in Indonesia.
