Johann Kircher

Johann Kircher (born August 2, 1610 in Tübingen ; † 17th century ) was a German Catholic clergyman .

Life

Johann Kircher was born in Tübingen on August 2, 1610, but most of his life is unknown. It is obvious that he died in the 17th century, studied at the university in his hometown and then worked as a Protestant preacher in Württemberg . In 1638, however, he switched to Catholicism and moved to Vienna . There he published the work M. Joannis Kircheri Aetiologia, in qua migrationis suae ex Lutherana Synagoga in Ecclesiam veras et solidas rationes succincte exponit et perspicue, doctisque omnibus… pie, accurate et modeste considerandas proponit author in 1640 . The book was Emerich Losi , the Graner Archbishop dedicated, and also mentions that Losi, who is also the Primate of Hungary , was Kircher in Hungary allowed a job as a minister or professor. However, this point was not described in detail. A few years after this appointment, however, Johann Kircher is said to have died.
