Under self-assessment is meant:

  • In cognitive psychology, the fact that people can evaluate their own behavior and actions according to their own criteria, values and social norms and thus can also control themselves.
  • in business: a procedure introduced by the European Foundation for Quality Management in quality management to evaluate the criteria within the EFQM model for business excellence . According to the RADAR concept, it evaluates both the processes and procedures as well as the results of the company. RADAR stands for Results, Approach, Deployment, Assessment and Review. So all perspectives are always examined: is a procedure conclusive, is it applied across the board, is it regularly checked and, if necessary, improved and does it lead to the planned results?
