Rare Birds in Germany is a magazine that has been published once a year since 2010 and is edited by the Dachverband Deutscher Avifaunisten (DDA).

The cover reads rare birds in Germany and the year that is treated. The magazine appears one to two years after the year printed on the cover. Rare birds in Germany publishes the rarity report of the German rarity commission for the respective year. The addresses of the rarity commissions of the German federal states can also be found in the booklet.

Purchase and costs

Rare birds in Germany costs 9.80 euros plus shipping costs when sending DDA publications as a single issue. The subscription has a price advantage of approx. 25% compared to the individual issues. Previous editions can be purchased for 5 euros plus shipping costs after the current issue has appeared. With the exception of the current issue, all issues can be read online on the DDA homepage.
