Semyonov gold medal

The Semyonov Gold Medal ( Russian Золотая медаль имени Н.Н. Семенова ) was named after the Soviet Nobel Prize winner for chemistry Nikolai Nikolajewitsch Semjonow . In 1991 it was first awarded by the Academy of Sciences of the USSR . Since 1996 it has been awarded by the Russian Academy of Sciences to Russian and foreign scientists every five years for outstanding achievements in the field of chemistry.
