Proculus (lawyer)
Proculus was a jurist of the early classical period in ancient Rome around the middle of the 1st century AD. He is considered to be the founder of a legal "school of law" named after him, the Proculians . The Proculians competed with the Sabinians to develop methods of systematic interpretation of law. Proculus came to terms with the principate and became a close confidante of the princeps .
