Semra Turan

Semra Turan (* 1985 ) is a Danish student of Turkish origin from Copenhagen .

Although she has never appeared as an actress before or afterwards (Turan was cast as a high school graduate in a karate club), she was named best actress in a leading role in 2008 for her embodiment of the title role in Fightgirl Ayse (2007) renowned Danish film award Bodil nominated. At the Sitges Festival Internacional de Cinema de Catalunya in 2008 Turan was named “Best Actress”. In 2009 she played a major episode lead (episode 3) in the Danish crime series Protectors - Auf Leben und Tod . She embodied the wife of an Islamic terrorist.

Semra Turan is studying pharmacy in Denmark.
