Sendvaris
Sendvaris ( Eng . Althof ) is a district of the port city of Klaipėda in Lithuania , about two and a half kilometers west of the city center.
The place is namesake of the district Sendvaris ( Lithuanian Sendvarų seniūnija ) in the Rajongemeinde Klaipėda , to which he belonged until 1996.
history
Since 1872, the Gutsbezirk belonged to Althof District Barschken in county Memel . From May to September 1939 the place belonged to the community Götzhöfen. After that, the place Althof formed its own community. While it was part of the Lithuanian Soviet Socialist Republic , Sendvaris was the seat of a district (lit. apylinkė). In 1995 the place became the seat of an administrative district, from which it was renegotiated to the city of Klaipėda in 1996 .

Sendvaris District
The Sendvarų seniūnija, which is assigned to the Rajongemeinde Klaipėda , has existed since 1995 . The administrative district includes 22 places, including 21 villages and one seat ( Klausmyliai ) with a total of 5,033 inhabitants (as of 2011). Its administrative center has been Slengiai village since 1996 . The administrative district is divided into eight sub-districts (lit. Seniūnaitija), which are numbered from one to eight. In 1996, the places Barškiai, Dauguliai, Paupiai, Sendvaris, Šauliai, Tauralaukis and Virkučiai from the Sendvaris district were transferred to the city of Klaipėda .
