Senile bed escape

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Senile bed escape is a joke term for a reduced need for sleep in old age, which is characterized by early waking.

A shift in the sleep-wake rhythm in seniors is caricaturedly referred to as "senile (senile) escape from bed", since people's individual need for sleep decreases in old age . However, older people who experience this phenomenon usually feel “rested”. A more frequent afternoon nap sometimes complements the shortened night nap.
