Sensirion is a manufacturer of digital micro sensors and systems. The company is organized as a stock corporation (Switzerland) based in Stäfa , Switzerland.
history
Sensirion emerged as a spin-off from ETH Zurich and was founded in 1998 by Moritz Lechner and Felix Mayer. In 2005, Sensirion opened its headquarters in Stäfa, Switzerland. Up to 2006 a total of one million sensors had been produced. In 2014, the annual production rate was 75 million sensors. After Sensirion achieved success in various markets, including the automotive industry, the technology company acquired Auto Industrial Co. Ltd. (AIC). The legally independent unit is now organized under Sensirion Holding as Sensirion Automotive Solutions. Sensirion Holding has been listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange since March 2018 .
Products
Sensirion Holding has subsidiaries in Switzerland, the USA, South Korea, China, Japan and Taiwan. The company's product range includes flow sensors for gases and liquids as well as environmental sensors for measuring temperature and humidity, volatile organic compounds , carbon dioxide and fine dust . Sensirion develops both series products and tailor-made sensor system solutions for the automotive industry, industry (household appliances, smart energy, heating, ventilation and air conditioning technology), medical technology and entertainment electronics.
