Sensors, Inc. is an American company based in Saline, Michigan . The company is the world market leader in devices for mobile emission measurement from vehicles.
Sensors, Inc. was founded in 1969 to commercialize the emission measurement technology developed at Willow Run Laboratories . The tightening of the Clean Air Act 1970 created a need for it for the first time.
A short distance from the headquarters of the company is the National Vehicle and Fuel Emissions Laboratory of the EPA in Ann Arbor .
In 1999 the German company Sensors Devices was taken over. The European headquarters of Sensors, Inc. is in Erkrath (Sensors Europe GmbH).
