A Lentasepsis or sepsis lenta (from Latin lentus "tough, slowly", and sepsis ) is a slowly running sepsis , often of a subacute endocarditis proceeds, proceeds with low-grade fever, chills, tachycardia, and leukocytosis, and a anemia may result. The diagnosis is clarified using a blood culture .
